A nurse working at a public hospital in Selangor claimed that nurses who voiced concerns were being blacklisted. This is reported in a recent interview with Malaysia’s reliable medical news portal. Nurses in government hospitals are said to be silenced with threats of transfers or blacklisting due to speaking out regarding workplace issues. This is according to an anonymous nurse.

The government aims to significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and quality across the diverse landscapes of the Philippines. This will be done by establishing 179 new medical specialty centers by 2028, prioritising regions where medical services are currently underserved. This initiative signifies a bold commitment to addressing longstanding healthcare disparities. Therefore, this ensures that every Filipino can access specialised medical care regardless of geographic location.

She emphasised the imperative to address the escalating healthcare needs of Laguna’s population, exceeding 3 million according to the latest census. Notably, Laguna is the sole province in the Calabarzon Region without a Department of Health (DOH)-managed general hospital.
