Last week’s Mothercare Baby & Kids Fair 2023 in Singapore provided an enriching, informative experience for parents and families.
The fair took place at EXPO Hall 6A from July 28 to 30, displaying a variety of products and services from a host of exhibitors. Notable participants included Cordlife, Keenz, Baa Baa Sheepz, Frigg, Biocair, Hamilton, Pigeon, Creative Hearts, just to name a few.
Mount Alvernia Hospital, the event’s official Hospital partner, shared exciting news about their forthcoming St Anne Mother & Child Centre, inviting sign-ups for the familiarisation maternity tour with both in-person and virtual options.
Broad Spectrum of Exhibitors
Speaking to Medical Channel Asia, a Frigg representative detailed the innovative features of the Danish brand’s pacifiers.
“Our pacifiers are designed with a click-lock system that prevents them from falling off or getting lost easily. The pacifiers are made using medical-grade silicone, which is also a fragrance-neutral material,” he explained. He highlighted that the Frigg pacifier mimics a mother’s breast. It provides the natural comfort children crave.
Benson, a Mushie staff representative, highlighted the high standards the brand holds for baby skincare products. Mushie’s series excludes harmful chemicals like parabens, phthalates, and sulfates, focusing instead on gentle, nourishing ingredients such as organic aloe vera, chamomile, and jojoba oil. Mushie was only introduced to the market recently but they have already seen loyal returning customers, especially for their Mushie Baby Balm.
Given the growing emphasis on hygiene, many parents are taking steps to shield their families from pathogens. BioCair, an exhibitor, displayed the CL250, a potent air disinfection machine. This device employs BioCair’s unique dry-mist technology. It kills 99.999% of airborne and surface pathogens in just 60 seconds. These pathogens include viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
Exhibiting preschools like Mosaic Preschool sought to engage children’s education. The spokesperson conveyed their curriculum’s focus on nurturing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. They emphasised that they create a stimulating, safe environment to achieve this. Also, the school prioritises play-based learning and creativity development.
Other Activities
Mothercare Baby & Kids Fair 2023 also featured various activities and events. One such event was The Mummy & Me Seminar, which was conducted by Mount Alvernia Hospita. The fully booked seminar offered valuable insights and advice on preparing for motherhood and caring for babies.
Also, visitors enjoyed the sure-win spin the wheel game, garnering prizes and discounts from participating brands. Additionally, they could also download an e-guidebook detailing the fair’s special offers and staff picks, as well as information on participating brands.
