Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church, was hospitalized on Wednesday after experiencing difficulty breathing.  While the initial reports were alarming, the Vatican quickly confirmed that the pope’s condition was not related to COVID-19. Instead, the 86-year-old pontiff was diagnosed with a respiratory infection that may have been caused by one of many seasonal viruses.
