Fish oil is derived from the fatty tissues of fish and contains two important omega-3 fatty acids – eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). On 5 April 2022, WHO was notified of 10 cases of severe acute hepatitis of unknown cause in children under the age of 10 years across Scotland.
